FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a cold-rolled strip or sheet from an essentially equiatomic FeCo alloy and a magnetic part cut therefrom, as well as to a method of producing a cold-rolled strip or sheet from an FeCo alloy. Method of producing cold-rolled strip or sheet from FeCo alloy includes making hot-rolled strip or sheet thickness of 1.5–2.5 mm, performing the first stage of cold rolling of the strip or sheet in one or more passes to a thickness of less than or equal to 1 mm, performing intermediate annealing with provision of partial recrystallization, performing the second stage of cold rolling to thickness of 0.05–0.25 mm and static final annealing with provision of complete recrystallization. Composition of the hot-rolled sheet or strip consists of the following, wt %: 47.0 ≤ Co ≤ 51.0; trace level ≤ V + W ≤ 3.0; trace level ≤ Ta + Zr ≤ 0.5; trace level ≤ Nb ≤ 0.5; trace level ≤ B ≤ 0.05; trace level ≤ Si ≤ 3.0; trace level ≤ Cr ≤ 3.0; trace level ≤ Ni ≤ 5.0; trace level ≤ Mn ≤ 2.0; trace level ≤ C ≤ 0.02; trace level ≤ O ≤ 0.03; trace level ≤ N ≤ 0.03; trace level ≤ S ≤ 0.005; trace level ≤ P ≤ 0.015; trace level ≤ Mo ≤ 0.3; trace level ≤ Cu ≤ 0.5; trace level ≤ Al ≤ 0.01; trace level ≤ Ti ≤ 0.01; trace level ≤ Ca + Mg ≤ 0.05; trace level ≤ rare earth elements ≤ 500 ppm; the rest is iron and impurities.
