FIELD: agriculture; biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agricultural biotechnology and represents a method for reproduction of useful cheliceral arachnids, in particular phytoseiid gamasid mites, and can be used in technical entomology for reproduction of mites. Method involves collection of females in nature on forbs and cereals in early autumn period in pre-diapause or diapause state, which are kept in complete darkness at low temperatures of 6–8°C for 7 days. A primary population of 50–100 active females is formed, which are placed in a climatic chamber at temperature of 25°C and humidity 80–90%. After 1–2 weeks, females in which offspring have larvae, protonymphs, deutonymphs or young females are used for further breeding by forming stable populations in breeding containers in climate chambers.
EFFECT: method ensures creation of the necessary environmental conditions for obtaining a large amount of high-quality biomaterial.
