FIELD: powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly, to production of composite ceramic material. It can be used for production of cutting tools and machine-building articles. Ceramic composite material for cutting tools contains the following, wt.%: alumina (α-Al2O3) 23–24, titanium carbide (TiC) 23–25, titanium diboride (TiB2) 52–53.
EFFECT: higher bending strength, crack resistance and hardness.
