FIELD: manufacture of composite ceramic material.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the manufacture of a composite ceramic material that can be used for the manufacture of cutting tools and machine-building products. Ceramic composite material for cutting tools, including alumina (α-Al2O3) and titanium carbide (TiC), additionally contains titanium diboride (TiB2) at the following component ratio, wt.%: alumina (α-Al2O3) 15-20; titanium carbide (TiC) 19-22; titanium diboride (TiB2) 61-64.
EFFECT: technical result is an improvement in the physical and mechanical characteristics of the composite ceramic material, namely, an increase in bending strength, crack resistance and hardness.
