FIELD: metal forming.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and may be used in pipe bending. Mandrel of pipe bending machine has elongated body (3) with first end connected to mandrel rod, and second end with spherical seat (8). At least one intermediate articulated element (10) and end articulated element (11) are provided. Each intermediate element (10) and end element (11) have peripheral component (12) made with possibility of resting on inner wall of pipe (T) to be bent. Each intermediate element (10) has one-piece cup-shaped component (13), rod-shaped element (19) passing from the outside of cup-shaped component (13), and one-piece spheroidal component (21) configured to be inserted into cup-shaped component (13) of preceding intermediate element (10).
EFFECT: as a result, it is possible to manufacture the female and male components of the flexible part of the mandrel in the form of a single element.
