FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of titanosilicates having sorption properties and can be used in producing sorbents for purifying uranium-containing technogenic and hydromineral material. Initial powdered frame titanosilicate is obtained by hydrothermal synthesis using as a source of titanium a product of processing sphene concentrate – salt of titanyl sulphate and ammonium with content of aluminium impurities 0.05–0.35 wt.% and titanium 11–13 wt.%. Obtained frame titanosilicate Na3(Na,H)Ti2O2[Si2O6]2⋅2H2O treated with 0.001–5.0 M solution of nitric or sulphuric acid for 0.1–0.5 hours to obtain crystalline layered titanosilicate Ti2(OH)2[Si4O10(OH)2](H2O)2. Then layered titanosilicate is subjected to modification by treatment with 0.001–5.0 M solution of sodium, potassium and calcium chlorides at pH 6.0–7.4, temperature 25–41 °C for 4–7 days and periodic stirring. Modifying solution may additionally contain magnesium chloride and tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane (HOCH2)3CNH2. A titanosilicate solid phase is separated from the formed suspension by vacuum filtration. Solid phase is washed with distilled water at S:L=1:(3–5) and dried at temperature of 35–45 °C to obtain crystalline titanosilicate AmBnTi2Si4O12.5(OH)1.5⋅2H2O, where A is a sodium or potassium or calcium ion. B is hydrogen ion, m=1–4, n=0.5–1.0.
EFFECT: method enables to obtain crystalline titanosilicates of sodium, potassium and calcium, using which degree of extraction of uranium reaches 99.7 %, which corresponds to design sorption capacity of 464.6 mg/g.
