METHOD FOR ELECTRICAL STIMULATION OF CEREBRAL CORTEX IN NEUROTIC DISORDERS ASSOCIATED WITH STRESS IN HUMANS Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61B5/369 A61B5/372 A61N1/36 A61N2/02

Abstract RU 2825293 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to functional diagnostics, restorative medicine, physiotherapy and can be used in treating patients with neurotic disorders associated with stress. While awake, the patient undergoes electroencephalography (EEG) with registration of cerebral rhythm frequencies. Pathological rhythms are detected. In the absence of pathological rhythms on the EEG, deviations of the frequency value of at least one rhythm from the norm are detected. Cerebral cortex is electrically stimulated by applying two electrodes in the patient’s temporal region, followed by passing alternating current through the electrodes with the frequency the value of which is a deviation from the norm. Duration of one session of electric stimulation is not more than 20 minutes. Therapeutic course is 5–10 sessions.

EFFECT: method provides improving the quality of life and levelling the symptoms of various neurotic disorders associated with stress in a person due to an individual approach to the electrical brain stimulation.
