FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method of rejuvenating a catalyst used in the process of hydrodesulphurisation of a gasoline fraction, and to use of the rejuvenated catalyst in such a method. Described is a method of rejuvenating at least partially spent catalyst used in process of hydrodesulphurisation of olefin gasoline fraction containing sulphur, wherein said at least partially spent catalyst comes from a fresh catalyst containing cobalt, molybdenum, aluminium oxide and optionally phosphorus, wherein said method includes the following steps: a) regeneration of at least partially spent catalyst in a gas stream containing oxygen at temperature of 350 °C to 550 °C to obtain a regenerated catalyst, b) contacting the regenerated catalyst with at least one impregnating solution comprising cobalt and molybdenum, wherein the molar ratio of molybdenum to molybdenum already present in the regenerated catalyst ranges from 0.15 to 2.5 mol./mol., and the molar ratio of cobalt to cobalt already present in the regenerated catalyst is 0.1 to 2.5 mol./mol., c) carrying out a drying step at temperature below 200 °C to obtain a rejuvenated catalyst. Also described is a method for hydrodesulphurisation of an olefinic gasoline fraction containing sulphur, in which said gasoline fraction, hydrogen and a catalyst rejuvenated by said method are brought into contact, wherein said hydrodesulphurisation method is carried out at temperature of 200 °C to 400 °C, total pressure from 1 to 3 MPa, hourly space velocity, defined as volumetric flow rate of raw material, relative to the volume of the catalyst, in range of 1 to 10 h-1, and the volume ratio of hydrogen/gasoline feed in range of 100 to 1200 Nl/l.
EFFECT: obtaining a rejuvenated catalyst with improved catalytic activity, which improves selectivity of the selective hydrodesulphurisation process of gasolines.
