FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ionizing radiation detectors and is intended for mounting and conductive cooling of pixel silicon sensors detecting charged particles. Proposed device is made of carbon-containing materials and consists of alternating layers of carbon fleece and graphite paper, providing both effective heat removal to the periphery of the device from a large number of pixel sensors and microelectronic systems of detectors, and high radiation transparency for charged particles, which is uniform over the entire area of the device.
EFFECT: field of application of pixel detectors is considerably expanded, including in the field of medical equipment, for creation of a proton tomograph.
