FIELD: processing and recycling of wastes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of coal sorbent from organic wastes (excess active sludge, sewage sludge, bark and wood wastes, macroalgae and other plant wastes) by hydrothermal liquefaction. Described is a method of producing sorption materials from sewage sludge and plant wastes, consisting in the fact that for production of coal sorbents the technology of hydrothermal liquefaction is used while observing the following parameters of the process: weight ratio of biomass by dry substance: water 1:15–1:5, temperature 240–360°C, pressure 3–7 MPa, with subsequent activation with hydrogen peroxide or sodium hydroxide and hydrogen peroxide without pretreatment, process is carried out without using multistage activation, environmentally safe reagents such as hydrogen peroxide and sodium hydroxide are used for activation.

EFFECT: processing organic wastes with simultaneous production of sorbents and biofuel, avoiding use of hazardous organic solvents, increasing energy efficiency of the process due to simultaneous production of biofuel and no need for preliminary drying of processed wastes.
