METHOD FOR SAMPLING BRONCHOALVEOLAR LAVAGE FOR LIFETIME DIAGNOSIS OF BRONCHOPNEUMONIA IN CALVES Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61B5/00 A61M3/00 A61M25/01 A61K33/14 A61P43/00

Abstract RU 2826767 C1

FIELD: veterinary science.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to veterinary medicine, namely to clinical diagnostics. A sterile silicone medical tube with diameter of 4 mm, an internal hole diameter of 3 mm, a wall thickness of 1.0 mm and length of 150 cm is introduced transnasally into the calves. During introducing, if resistance and a repeated cough reflex appear, nasogastric tube is moved back by 1 cm upon reaching tracheal bifurcation area. Then 50 ml disposable syringe is attached to the free end, and by using it, 30–40 ml of sterile isotonic saline is introduced into the trachea at temperature of 37 °C. Then 10 ml of bronchoalveolar content is aspirated.

EFFECT: method enables safe sampling of microorganisms-initiators of the pyoinflammatory process, which in turn enables to carry out lifetime diagnosis of bronchopneumonia and apply the method for complex diagnostic studies in respiratory pathologies.
