FIELD: laser technologies.
SUBSTANCE: method of electrodeless ignition of optical discharge consists in gas breakdown with formation of plasma region, carried out by focusing radiation of supporting and igniting lasers in discharge chamber, wherein radiation of igniting laser is focused by lens and passed through two plane-parallel plates inclined to igniting laser beam so as to get with focus into area of ignited optical discharge. Plane-parallel plates are rotated around axis of igniting beam with different frequency.
EFFECT: reduction of optical discharge ignition time.
