FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopaedics, and can be used for treating polyfocal unstable pelvic ring injuries with open bilateral fractures within an anterior semi-ring of the “butterfly” type with a symphysis divergence. With the patient lying on the operating table, a support consisting of two semi-rings is formed on the ilium. An anatomically correct reduction of the symphysis and displaced fragments of the anterior semi-ring is performed under visual and manual control. Through intact soft tissues, at bases of pubic tubercles, through symphysis, two wires are introduced: one – into pubic bone, and the other one, from contralateral side – into ischial bone. X-ray control and three-plane reduction of the residual displacement of the formed single bone block by traction with turning with wires and bone forceps are performed; the apparatus is stabilized with threaded braces, fixing their ends in the said semi-ring supports. Distal brace is installed above symphysis, and proximal – cranially relative to semi-ring supports, creating tension in wires, their free ends are attached to nearest end of brace. Drainages are installed, the wound is closed.
EFFECT: method provides adequate extrafocal reduction and stabilization of the pelvic ring with reduced length of treatment of patients and reduced number of infectious complications by creating tension in the wires when fixing their free ends to the nearest end of the brace, which promotes sufficient stabilization of the formed single bone block.
