SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. Method includes treating rhegmatogenous retinal detachment, performing subtotal vitrectomy, tamponade with perfluoroorganic compound to the level of retinal rupture. Air is introduced into the vitreous cavity, drainage of subretinal fluid, replacement of air with perfluoroorganic compound and laser coagulation of retinal rupture with subsequent replacement of perfluoroorganic compound with air or silicone. Subtotal vitrectomy is followed by two to three coagulations along the edge of the retinal rupture to produce a microburn at an output power of 16% of the maximum. After retinal adherence, targeted peripheral laser coagulation is performed in areas of retinal rupture.

EFFECT: method provides effective treatment of rhegmatogenous retinal detachment due to possibility of clear visualization of retinal ruptures after retinal adhesion for targeted laser coagulation in areas of retinal ruptures.
