FIELD: rocket industry; aviation industry; space industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for assembling and sealing joints of heat-loaded articles in radio engineering structures, for example, head antenna domes of aircraft. Disclosed is a method of preparing an organosilicon sealant, which involves combining all components of the composition: paste—liquid polysiloxane rubber “СКТН” with addition of aerosil and inorganic filler ZnO, catalyst—solution based on tin diethyl dicaprylate in oligoethylsiloxane, and water-repellent liquid—polyethylhydride siloxane, their mixing and subsequent vulcanization of sealant for 24 hours, mixing is carried out under vacuum conditions without mechanical action directly on the material, and the components of the sealant in the container are mixed due to the action of gravitational forces, which occur during simultaneous rotation of the container with components around its axis and around the vertical axis of the centrifuge at speed of 30–40 rpm and 500–800 rpm, respectively, for 5–7 minutes.
EFFECT: proposed method provides reduced loss of product, reduced time for cleaning of mixing devices and mixing time, increased pot life of prepared sealant with preservation of its high mechanical properties.
