SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of treating sulphur-containing wastes from processing and concentration industries. Invention relates to a method of treating sulphur-containing wastes, in which sulphur-containing wastes are heated to obtain a first stream containing sulphur dioxide, and fed into the process of treating sulphur compounds (PTS), feeding a second stream containing hydrogen sulphide and a third stream containing oxygen, the amount of which is controlled to maintain the reaction between SO2 and H2S, wherein wastes of spent hydrotreating catalysts are used. When adjusting the amount of the third gas flow, the composition of the tail gas of the PTS is determined by the ratio of H2S to SO2 in the tail gas, when the first flow is supplied to the PTS, solid particles are removed from it, and the PTS includes a Claus process.
EFFECT: high efficiency of using sulphur emission reducing agents.
