FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to dentistry, and is intended for use in assessing the distribution of the chewing load on the patient’s dentition. Electronic occlusion is performed to determine actual load on separate segments of dentition at the moment of occlusion. Obtained values are compared with reference load values. For each segment of the dental arch, the modulus of difference between the actual and reference values is determined, and the arithmetic mean value of this parameter is calculated for all segments of the dental arch, as well as for various parts of the dental arch: anterior and lateral, right and left. If the obtained data correspond to the norm and fall within the permissible limits, this testifies to the harmonic distribution of the masticatory load on the dentition, and going beyond the permissible limits is considered to be occlusal disharmony.

EFFECT: enabling the possibility of diagnosing occlusal disorders based on the values of the masticatory load distribution in the patient’s dentition in order to clarify the treatment plan for various dental diseases and their prevention.
