SUBSTANCE: invention relates to video encoding means. Determining, for conversion between the video coding tree node and the video bitstream, a scheme in accordance with the rule for dividing the parent luma block of the coding tree node and the parent chroma block of the coding tree node and to predict one or more luma blocks from said parent luma block and one or more chroma blocks from said parent chroma block. Parent brightness unit is generated from the brightness coding tree unit based on the brightness division scheme, which includes recursive division operations. Parent chroma unit is generated from a chroma coding tree unit based on a chroma separation scheme having the same recursive separation operations as the brightness separation scheme has. Conversion is performed based on said scheme.
EFFECT: high efficiency of video encoding.
