FIELD: smoking accessories.

SUBSTANCE: smoking article (2, 32, 34, 36, 38, 42, 56) comprising: combustible heat source (4, 40) with opposite front and rear surfaces; aerosol-forming substrate (6) located downstream of rear surface of combustible heat source (4, 40); outer wrapper (12) surrounding the aerosol-forming substrate and at least a rear portion of the combustible heat source; and one or more airflow paths through which air can be drawn through smoking article (2, 32, 34, 36, 38, 42, 56) for inhalation by the user. Combustible heat source (4, 40) is isolated from one or more air flow paths, so that when using air, sucked through smoking article (2, 32, 34, 36, 38, 42, 56) along said one or more airflow paths, does not contact directly with combustible heat source (4, 40).

EFFECT: invention enables to avoid temperature peaks of the aerosol-forming substrate in the mode of intense puffs.
