SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway automation, telemechanics and communication. Information indication and input device comprises a display module, series-connected touch panel and a pressing coordinate conversion unit, a comparison module and a memory module connected to an inter-module digital communication interface, as well as two data processing channels, one of which includes a data processing unit, and the other one – series-connected data validation unit and an acknowledgment generation unit. At that, outputs of the press coordinates conversion unit are connected to the data processing unit first inputs and the data correctness confirmation unit, which first output through the acknowledgment generation unit is connected to the second input of the data processing unit, connected to the first input of the indication module, the second input connected to the other output of the acknowledgment generation unit, and the output is to the other input of the data correctness confirmation unit, the inputs/outputs of which are connected to the intermodule digital communication interface, to which the inputs/outputs of the data processing unit are also connected.

EFFECT: high efficiency of protecting the device from dangerous failures associated with possible distortions when entering information.
