FIELD: chemistry; pharmaceutics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical-pharmaceutical industry, namely to a method for determining moisture content of air-dried eucalyptus leaves using an infrared thermogravimetric method. Method consists in the fact that preliminary blank experiment is carried out, temperature in drying chamber is not more than 25 °C; eucalyptus leaves are crushed to particles with size of 2 mm, sieving through a sieve with a hole diameter of 2 mm and using crushed raw material passing through holes with diameter of 2 mm, weighed amount of 2.7-3.3 g is distributed on the surface of the bottom of the metal cuvette in a uniform layer and dried to constant weight at temperature of 100-105 °C, determining moisture content of medicinal plant material in automatic mode.
EFFECT: method allows to reduce duration of analysis, has reduced error of moisture determination in air-dried eucalyptus leaves.
