FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cardiovascular and X-ray endovascular surgery. Catheter is brought into the subintimal canal up to the zone of the expected exit into the true lumen, positioned in orthogonal projections towards the passable segment of the artery and the intima is pierced. Guidewire with a rigid tip is used with a tip load of not less than 20 grams and not less than 0.014 inches in diameter in combination with a catheter for selective vascular catheterisation.
EFFECT: method increases success of revascularization in patients with lower extremity artery involvement and reduces risk of lower extremity amputation, and can also be used as an alternative to other techniques for performing an exit into the true lumen of the artery in subintimal recanalization.
