FIELD: nanotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of producing nanosized manganese ferrites, which can be used as contrast agents for diagnostics by magnetic resonance imaging, as well as theranostic agents for magnetic hyperthermia of oncological diseases and agents for targeted drug delivery. Method includes heating of initial solution, containing solutions of iron (III) and manganese (II) acetylacetonates in benzyl alcohol at their concentration in ranges of 28–30 g/l and 9–12 g/l, respectively, and its holding in nitrogen atmosphere for 0.5–140 hours with subsequent cooling of obtained suspension at constant nitrogen current, wherein acetone is then added to the suspension and manganese ferrite nanoparticles are separated from it. Initial solution is heated in two steps: first for 55 minutes is heated to temperature of 45–50 °C at rate of 0.6–0.8 °C/min, and then for 5–6 hours is heated to temperature of 160–180 °C at rate of 10–20 °C/h.
EFFECT: obtaining nanoparticles of manganese ferrite of constant stoichiometric composition (MnxFeyO4, x:y=1:2), with high values of specific saturation magnetisation, with the possibility of controlling both the size of the obtained nanoparticles and their magnetic properties.
