FIELD: plasma chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of sialon-containing material (SiAlON) based on compounds of Si3N4, AlN and Al2O3, synthesized by energy of high-enthalpy plasma, and can be used as high-temperature structural ceramics and corrosion-resistant materials, as well as phosphors in LED white light sources and scintillators. Method of producing sialon-containing material by plasma-chemical synthesis involves preparation of raw materials, mixing initial powders of β-Si3N4, AlN and H4N2CO with addition of sodium liquid glass Na2SiO3 to obtain a mixture. Further, the obtained mixture is sieved through a sieve with fraction of 0.3 mm to obtain a uniform ratio of components in the mixture, then, briquettes are formed by hydraulic method in mold. Prepared briquettes are placed in an oven to remove moisture and then synthesis is carried out in a plasma reactor with subsequent smooth cooling in a natural way to room temperature to obtain phases of β-sialon and 16H-sialon.
EFFECT: reduced labor input in the process of producing sialon.
