FIELD: various technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of creating wire polarisers for the terahertz (THz) frequency range using a winding machine and tungsten wire. Method includes the following stages: winding tungsten wire on a winding frame using a winding machine; gluing to the first outer surface of the winding frame with the wire the first round working frame, on which the epoxy adhesive layer is applied when the epoxy adhesive layer hardens in the fixed position of the parallel planes of the said frames relative to each other; separating the winding frame from the first working frame when coarsely cutting the wire along the perimeter of the circular working frame; accurate cutting of wire residues along the perimeter of the round working frame; attachment of the second round working frame to the first round working frame by means of a threaded connection.
EFFECT: providing a polariser from tungsten wire with diameter of 10 mcm, having an operating range of up to 6 THz with an extinction coefficient of more than 10 dB, an operating range of up to 3 THz with an extinction coefficient of more than 20 dB and an operating range of up to 2 THz with an extinction coefficient of more than 30 dB.
