SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems using electromagnetic conversion of electrical energy into controlled mechanical movement of actuators for removal of icicles from roofs. Automatic electromechanical system for removal of icicles from roofs comprises electric motors connected to a power source through a control system with a rotating shaft, inside which there is a through axial hole, on part of inner surface of which thread is applied, and through hole passes traction, on the outer surface of which there is also a thread to form a movable threaded connection between the rotating shaft and the rod, which provides axial movement of the rod connected to the beam from metal-containing material – an actuating element during the shaft rotation. Translational movement of the actuator at a distance determined by the location of the actuator relative to the mounting surface of the electric motors is provided by means of at least two synchronized electric motors excluding the possibility of rotary movement of the actuator, at that, the electric motors are connected to a control system, which generates control commands for reciprocating movement of the actuator using an identification method based on comparison of information on current ice formation parameters, for example, linear size of icicles, obtained from a video stream coming from a sensor, for example, a video camera, with initial information stored in the information database of the control system, and a controlled lighting device is provided for monitoring the icicle formation process in conditions of insufficient visibility.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of electromechanical system for removal of icicles from roofs.
