FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing substituted 3-arylpyrroles of general formula: where Ar = 6-member aryl or 5-member heteroaryl containing a heteroatom selected from S, O; R1 = lower alkyl, 6-membered aryl or CH2CH2CO2Alk, where Alk = lower alkyl; R2 = H, lower alkyl, 6-member aryl; R3 = H, CO2Alk, where Alk = lower alkyl; or R2+R3 = -(CH2)n-, where n = 4-10, consisting in the fact that corresponding aryl-substituted nitroalkenes of general formula: where R1 and Ar have the above values, are treated with enol esters of general formula: where R2 and R3 have the above values, and R4 = lower alkyl or SiAlk3, where Alk = lower alkyl, in the presence of a Lewis acid at a temperature of -70 °C to -100 °C in an aprotic solvent medium, obtained 5,6-dihydro-4H-1,2-oxazine N-oxides of general formula: where Ar, R1, R2, R3 and R4 have the above values, are treated with a metal reducing agent, such as Raney nickel, at temperature of 70-90 °C in a medium of a protic solvent, followed by extraction of the desired product.

EFFECT: design of an efficient and universal method of producing substituted 3-arylpyrroles I of general formula I with high output, which simplifies the technology of producing products I by reducing the number of steps.
