FIELD: wind power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to wind power engineering, in particular to wind turbines with axis of rotation perpendicular to air flow. Windmill rotor comprises blades with cylindrical surface and is formed by connection of cylindrical surfaces of blades in form of three-dimensional geometrical figure formed by truncation by secant plane along axis of right circular hollow cylinder limited in bases by planes. Vertical edge of the open part of the blade is attached to the cylindrical surface of the similar blade, which is also attached by the vertical edge to the cylindrical surface of the next blade along the circumference. In the same sequence, other blades are connected equidistant from the axis, in one plane, closing the circle of blades, with formation of a structure in the form of a wheel combined by fastening elements into a single device with an axis, a rotating element of the rotor. In the version discs are fixed as lower and upper bases of rotor.
EFFECT: reduction of wind energy losses due to absence of openings between blades and redirection of air flow from the convex side of the blade to the open opening of the adjacent blade.
