FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, in particular to power supply in electric traction system of non-electrified and electrified railways. Railway electric traction system comprises an input traffic light, a contact network arranged on supports and including two contact wires, a traction substation with a three-phase transformer, two phases of which are connected to two contact wires, respectively, rails connected to the third phase of the three-phase transformer. Electric locomotive with traction motors has two current collectors with appropriate control units fixed on electric locomotive with possibility of their connection and separation from contact wires. Accumulator battery is additionally installed on the electric locomotive, connected through the switching unit to the traction motors and is connected through a charging device, which is additionally installed on the electric locomotive, to one current collector of the electric locomotive. Transmitting radio beacon is fixed on the contact system support in the area of the input traffic light. Radio receiving unit is placed on the electric locomotive and provides, through current collection devices control units, their lowering with additional light and sound notification of the driver “to lower the current collectors”.
EFFECT: ensuring reliability of the technological process and increasing the train traffic safety.
