SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a combination of (i) a CXCL8 activity inhibitor, which is a compound of formula (I) or a compound of formula (II) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, and (ii) a corticosteroid, which is dexamethasone, for use in treating corticosteroid-insensitive asthma, as well as to a pharmaceutical composition for treating corticosteroid-insensitive asthma containing an effective amount of such a combination and at least one inert pharmaceutically acceptable excipient. In general formula (I), R1 is rifluoromethanesulfonyloxy; R2 is a hydrogen atom; and R3 is a linear or branched C1-C6 alkyl or trifluoromethyl, in general formula (II) R1 is hydrogen; X is OH; R2 is hydrogen, Y is a heteroatom selected from S, Z is halogen C1-C3 alkyl and halogen C1-C3 alkoxy.
EFFECT: using the invention enables treating corticosteroid-insensitive asthma.
