SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemistry and pharmaceutics and discloses the use of a CXCL8 inhibitor, which is a compound of formula (I) or a salt thereof with a pharmaceutically acceptable organic or inorganic acid or base or use of a pharmaceutical composition containing (i) an effective amount of a compound of formula (I), in the prevention of fatigue associated with cancer, which is caused or aggravated by the anticancer treatment, which is chemotherapy. In general formula (I) R¹ is selected from linear or branched C₁-C₆ alkyl, benzoyl, phenoxy and trifluoromethanesulfonyloxy; R² is selected from hydrogen and linear or branched C₁-C₃ alkyl; and R³ is a linear or branched C₁-C₆ alkyl or trifluoromethyl.

EFFECT: using the invention enables to effectively combat cancer-related fatigue in a cancer patient.
