FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to rehabilitation, physiotherapy, neurology, and aims at restoring diaphragm function in complex treatment of patients with diaphragm dysfunction as a result of stroke. Magnetic stimulation is performed in the form of local exposure to a magnetic field from a magnetic inductor. Exposure is performed by eight-shaped magnetic inductor. Performing magnetic stimulation of phrenic nerves at the level of C3-C5 paravertebrally in the form of local exposure to an alternating magnetic field, at distance of 5 cm from the spinous processes of the vertebrae with a gap between the inductor and the skin surface of 1 cm, frequency 20 Hz, 25 pulses in a pack, 100 packs, total number of pulses per procedure - 2500, with intensity from 70% to 90% of peak magnetic induction. Number of procedures is 10, five days a week.
EFFECT: method provides higher clinical effectiveness in diaphragm dysfunction in the patients suffering hemiparesis caused by stroke.
