FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to rehabilitation, physiotherapy, neurology, and aims at treating biomechanical balance disorders in the patients with post-stroke hemiparesis. Magnetic stimulation represents a local exposure to a magnetic field generated by a magnetic inductor. Exposure is generated by a figure-of-eight magnetic inductor. Magnetic stimulation is performed on the paravertebral region at the level of segments L1-L5 at distance of 3-5 cm from the spinous processes of the vertebrae in the form of local exposure to an alternating magnetic field, with a gap between the inductor and the skin surface – 1 cm, frequency 20 Hz, 25 pulses in a pack, 100 packs, total number of pulses per procedure – 2500, with intensity of 30 to 60 % of peak magnetic induction. Number of procedures is 10, five days a week.
EFFECT: method provides more effective medical rehabilitation in biomechanical imbalances in the patients with hemiparesis caused by stroke.
