FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to monitoring of electrochemical cathodic protection of underground steel structures, including pipelines against corrosion. Long-acting reference electrode comprises a moisture-permeable housing filled with gypsum, in which the electrode is installed. Electrode contact is connected to the measuring wire. Electrode is made in the form of a lead perforated plate coated with an active mass containing PbSO4 and Pb. Body is made of porous ceramics.
EFFECT: design of a long-term reference electrode with high stability of potential, which does not lead to copper plating (degradation) of the auxiliary electrode and long service life.
