FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to an infected pleural cavity sanitation device. Device is made with possibility of connection of lower silicone tube for discharge of infected flushing fluid and upper silicone tube for supply of flushing fluid, which is sterile and without toxic substances. Device has a filter for mechanical cleaning from solid insoluble inclusions, a sorption column for adsorbing toxic substances and retaining bacteria, a disposable cuvette located in close proximity to an ultraviolet bactericidal lamp, which are series-connected to each other by means of silicone tubes. Above the silicone tubes there is a pressure gauge to control pressure measurement inside the silicone tubes and a peristaltic roller pump with controlled supply of flushing fluid.
EFFECT: reducing the length of treating a closed infected pleural cavity by multiple irrigation with a fluid circulating in a closed circuit consisting of the infected cavity and the disclosed device.
