FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: temporal bone glenoid implant for temporomandibular joint replacement includes a block-shaped temporal bone glenoid implant, made of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene with an articular surface for contact with the implant of the condylar process of the lower jaw, having a protrusion of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene with a surface intended for contact with the temporal bone. In the projection there are through holes for screws for connection with the temporal bone. On the surface of the projection intended for contact with the temporal bone, a porous structure of titanium or titanium alloy is fixed with the possibility of bone tissue penetration into it. Compound is a partially embedded porous structure from titanium or titanium alloy into the surface layer of the protrusion from ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene as a result of its softening by heating with subsequent cooling.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase reliability of connection of implant with temporal bone and to expand range of products for this purpose.
