FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: implant of articular fossa of temporal bone for endoprosthesis of temporomandibular joint includes body made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene with articular surface on one side for contact with condylar process of lower jaw and a flange made of monolithic titanium or monolithic titanium alloy attached to it by means of a connecting means, intended for contact with a temporal bone and equipped with a means for providing bone tissue ingrowth into it. Flange is made with through holes for screws for connection with temporal bone. Flange-to-body connection means comprises a recess on the body, made on the lateral sides along the perimeter from the surface opposite the articular surface of the body, for contact with condylar process of lower jaw, and formed along perimeter of flange of monolithic titanium or monolithic titanium alloy, located in recess on body along perimeter flush with it, connected to each other by at least a pair of screws, each of which is located in a through hole in the side protrusion along the perimeter of the flange from monolithic titanium or monolithic titanium alloy and in a blind hole with a screw thread in the body, and the means for providing bone tissue ingrowth is a layer of a porous structure connected to the flange, which is grown from titanium or a titanium alloy.

EFFECT: invention enables reducing overall dimensions of the implant without reducing the reliability of the connection of the implant with the temporal bone, as well as expanding the range of products for this purpose.
