FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to analysis of liquid biological materials. Disclosed is a system for isolating tumour cells from sperm, consisting of a flushing buffer vessel, a sperm vessel, a pump, a microhydrodynamic device, a target fraction recording unit and a waste fluid drain vessel, wherein all elements and units are connected to each other by tubes; wherein the microhydrodynamic device comprises a primary curvilinear inertial microhydrodynamic channel having a spiral configuration, which cross-section has the shape of a non-convex pentagon, designed to separate sperm cells into two size fractions, divided into two secondary curvilinear inertial channels at the distal end, one inlet for supplying patient's sperm, two outlets for excretion of a larger cell fraction through one of the two outlets, and excretion of sperm cells through one of two outlets. Also disclosed is a method of implementing said system.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides effective separation of a fraction of large epithelial cells from a fraction of small sperm cells in sperm.
