FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to medical diagnostics, and can be used for prediction of risk of developing diabetic foot syndrome in people of Central Russia with type 2 diabetes mellitus. A sample of peripheral venous blood is taken. DNA extraction is followed by analysis of polymorphic variant rs3810252 (A>G) of the DNAJB1 gene. If the genotype rs3810252-G/G is detected, an increased risk of diabetic foot syndrome is predicted. If observing genotypes rs3810252-A/A or rs3810252-A/G, a low risk of developing diabetic foot syndrome is predicted.
EFFECT: method provides obtaining new criteria for assessing the risk of developing diabetic foot syndrome in Central Russia population with type 2 diabetes mellitus according to data on genetic polymorphism rs3810252 (A>G) of the DNAJB1 gene.
