SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a modular intraocular lens (IOL) with a holder, which is configured to prevent distortions in the form of a flare. Holder has a flange on the rear rim, in which the front surface on the flange has a first profile and the rear surface of the flange has a second profile not parallel to the first profile. Non-parallel surfaces of the flange can be configured to defocus light transmitted at angles deviating from the axis through the optical element and the flange.

EFFECT: use of this group of inventions will make it possible to reduce or even prevent distortions in the form of glare.
