CATHETER Russian patent published in 2025 - IPC A61M25/00 A61L29/04

Abstract RU 2834565 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to a catheter. Catheter comprises at least a cylindrical reinforcing element extending in the longitudinal direction and formed from a braided body, in which the first wires running in the first direction and the second wires running in the second direction crossing the first direction are woven into the mesh shape. Melting point of the first wires exceeds 500 °C or more melting point of the second wires. At least on one of both end parts in the longitudinal direction of the reinforcing element at some of the points of intersection, in which the first wires and second wires intersect with each other, connecting parts are formed. Each of the first wires has an absorption coefficient which is higher than that of each of the second wires. Connecting parts are located in the longitudinal direction and the direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction. First crossing wires and second crossing wires, which are said first wires and said second wires, which cross each other at some of the crossing points, are connected together by fusion on the corresponding contact sections of the first crossing wires and the second crossing wires. First crossing wire is arranged relative to second crossing wire on one side in third direction, orthogonal to first direction and second direction, where said one side in the third direction is the outer side of the reinforcing element.

EFFECT: objective of the present invention is to provide a catheter capable of hindering the separation of the end parts of the metal mesh, even when a plurality of wires having different melting points are used.
