FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to development of preservation agents, namely to creation of a device containing volatile corrosion inhibitors (VCI) placed in any retaining material ensuring their volatilization. VCI emitter consists of 16.0-16.2 wt.% substrate, which is a porous polyvinyl formal with a three-dimensional cellular structure, dried at temperature of 100-110 °C for at least 24 hours, and 83.8-84.0 wt.% of a VCI solution, previously prepared by successive mixing under normal conditions, 47.5-48.5 wt.% of IFKhAN-8 VCI and 51.5-52.5 wt.% of IFKhAN-118 VCI. To obtain a VCI emitter from said polyvinyl formal, a substrate is prepared, which is dried at temperature of 100-110 °C for at least 24 hours and then with a gap of not more than 30 seconds under normal conditions for at least 96 hours is impregnated with said VCI solution, wherein dried polyvinyl formal is completely immersed in VCI solution with weight exceeding that of polyvinyl formal by at least 6 times.
EFFECT: implementation of the specified purpose, as well as improvement of protective properties of the VCI emitter.
