FIELD: hydraulic engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water transport and can be used for cleaning berth structures of freezing ports in winter immediately before mooring of ships. Method is implemented by means of a pneumatic (bubbling) installation representing a perforated collector with electronically controlled dampers installed on the mooring wall below the minimum navigation water level, into which compressed air is supplied by a mechanical compressor. Supply of compressed air to the water area is carried out immediately before mooring of vessels by successive opening from the centre of the installation to the edges of the electronically controlled dampers installed on the nozzles of the perforated collector, to create a directed surface current, which cleans the mooring line from broken ice, ice slurry and ice jams.
EFFECT: strong directed surface current due to the impact of the installation is created between ship board and mooring line to clear the mooring line from broken ice, ice slurry and ice jams.
