METHOD FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF NASAL WING DEFECT IN CHILDREN Russian patent published in 2025 - IPC A61B17/24

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to otorhinolaryngology. At the first stage, a cartilage skin graft is sampled from an auricle corresponding to the size of the reconstructed area of the wing of the nose. At the second stage, a graft bed is prepared. Wound edges are refreshed, the scars are excised, an external skin and an internal mucoperichondrial flap in the area of a nasal wing stump is separated. At the third stage, the prepared graft is fixed in the area of the defect so that the skin of the wing stump is fixed to the skin part of the graft, the cartilage of the stump is fixed to the cartilaginous part of the graft. Then two silicone plates corresponding to the graft size are prepared. Silicone plates are fixed with interrupted sutures from above and below the graft. Then, tampons lubricated with antibacterial ointment are placed in the nasal cavity. On the following days, antibacterial and regenerating ointments are introduced on the operated area between the silicone plates for 21 days, after which the silicone plates are removed.

EFFECT: method enables providing good graft survival in nasal wing defect reconstruction in children, avoiding postoperative complications, achieving a good aesthetic result.
