FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to experimental oncology. Anesthesia is introduced in immunodeficient mice. Skin and abdominal walls are dissected in layers. Abdominal wall is incised along the midline of the body, the beginning of the incision is located at distance of 20 mm from the end of the xiphoid process, the end of incision is 5 mm from the urethra. Cecum is removed into the surgical wound. At distance of 5 mm from an extreme point of the end part of the cecum, a serous-muscular suture is applied without tightening the threads. Serous-muscular layer 3 mm long is dissected in an end portion of the cecum. Invagination of an end part of the cecum is performed, thereby forming a pocket into which 27 mm3 tumor fragment of the human colon is immersed. Ligature is tightened. Cecum is immersed into an abdominal cavity. Wall of the abdominal cavity is closed in layers.

EFFECT: method enables to obtain an orthotopic patient-like colon cancer model which most adequately reflects the characteristics of human colorectal cancer and is a valuable tool for preclinical studies of various methods of treating colon cancer, including for research of efficiency of new pharmacological substances, and also provides high potential of acceptance of tumor material.
