FIELD: medicine; experimental oncology.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to create a model of liver cancer in immunodeficient mice. A layer-by-layer dissection of the skin and abdominal wall is performed, 20 mm long, along the lower aperture of the chest. Further, from the center of the formed surgical wound, an incision 10 mm long is made upwards towards the xiphoid process. The stomach and duodenum are displaced caudally, exposing the left lobe of the liver, in which a 2 mm incision is made using a surgical scalpel and a tumor fragment 1 mm3 in size is implanted. A hemostatic sponge Tachocomb, size 4×4 mm is Imposed, then the abdominal wall and skin are sutured in layers with a continuous suture.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to securely fix tumor material, stop bleeding in the liver resulting from surgical manipulations when creating a model of tumor lesion of the liver, achieve xenograft survival with creation of the microenvironment required for the tumor by using optimal access to the liver and fixing the tumor fragment with Tachocomb sponge.
