FIELD: explosives.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pyrotechnics, in particular to pyrotechnic compositions used for loosening of rocks, soft spalling of block stone, destruction of artificial and natural barriers, crushing of rocks, which during ignition, being in a closed volume, create high pressure of gases, and in open space they burn without creating excessive pressure and flame front dangerous for environment. Pyrotechnic composition contains oxidants, metallic and non-metallic fuel and a process additive. As oxidants it contains ammonium nitrate and potassium nitrate. Metal fuel is aluminium. As non-metallic fuels it contains sulphur and carbon. Ratio of components in the composition is as follows, wt. %: NH4NO3 – 30-75; KNO3 – 20-50; S – up to 25; C – up to 20; AL – up to 15; process additive – up to 5.
