SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to rheumatology, and can be used for prediction of steroid resistance in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Disease activity index is determined by SLEDAI-2K scale, age of SLE diagnosis, level of antibodies to double-helical DNA and value of antinuclear factor titre. Derived values are substituted into the formula for calculating the probability P of the risk of developing steroid resistance. If P is more than or equal to 0.5, a high risk of developing steroid resistance is predicted. If P is less than 0.5, a low risk of developing steroid resistance is predicted.

EFFECT: method provides an easy-to-calculate, accurate and easy-to-use tool for assessing the risk of developing steroid resistance by determining a probability of the risk of developing steroid resistance with underlying SLE according to the original formula.
