METHOD FOR NASAL TIP FORMATION IN RHINOSEPTOPLASTY Russian patent published in 2025 - IPC A61B17/00 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to maxillofacial surgery, otorhinolaryngology, plastic, aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, and can be used for nasal tip formation in rhinoseptoplasty. Soft tissues of nose, supraorbital, supratrochlear and infraorbital points are infiltrated with lidocaine solution. Skin is incised, a nose tip, upper lateral cartilages, a bone pyramid are detached, a bone portion of the nose is polished, lateral osteotomies, and medial pedicles of the lower lateral cartilages are separated. Thereafter, an L-shaped frame is formed, an elliptical cartilage septum element is excised, and the septum is fixed to a nasal spine. Then, a spacer flap is formed on both sides; cephalic resections of the lateral pedicles of the lower lateral cartilages are performed; a columellar graft and TeoStrut are excised from the removed segments of the quadrangular cartilage. Columellar graft and TeoStrut are fixed. Thereafter, the nasal septum is dissected from the back to depth of 4 mm in front and behind the TeoStrut, additional sutures are applied between the TeoStrut and the nasal septum anteriorly behind the front edge of the nasal septum and behind the TeoStrut, and the operation is completed by placing a thermoplastic splint.

EFFECT: method enables to solve the problem of postoperative aesthetics, deviation, curvature and drooping of the tip of the nose in the late postoperative period by performing laxative incisions and balancing sutures.
