FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely to medical diagnostic devices for single-photon emission computed tomography. Result is achieved by using a structure which enables to place a gamma detector (or detectors) relative to a patient on a given orbit of a fixed radius, and using the WBR or RR SPECT image reconstruction algorithms, thus reducing the need for mechanical movements of the detectors.
EFFECT: reduced radiation load on the patient and medical personnel, improved convenience and accuracy of positioning detectors relative to the patient and reduced time of examination, as well as reduced dimensions of the device, which enables to place it in small rooms.
